During hot Texas summers turn your thermostat up to 78 (F) at a MINIMUM. While 78 indoors doesn’t seem pleasant, it’s much much lower than the exterior temperature of 105. The average Texas home’s HVAC system simply cannot keep your home 30 degrees cooler if you have it set to 75 and will run all day, creating the perfect recipe for a high electricity bill.
